Each of these jobs has different requirements, but most importantly you will need a valid drivers license. You may also be required to have a clean driving record and pass a background check. Some positions may require additional training or certification.
Bus Driver: Bus drivers transport passengers between locations using a bus. They must follow scheduled routes and adhere to traffic laws. They also help passengers with luggage and collect fares. In some cases they may provide commentary about the area as well. Requirements: A commercial drivers license (CDL) is required to operate a bus; however in some instances passenger vans that seat less than 16 people may not require this type of license depending on the state you reside in. Training is typically provided by the employer once hired although it is recommended that applicants have at least 3 years of experience driving large vehicles prior to applying for this position.
Taxi Driver: Taxi drivers drive patrons to their desired destination using either an automobile or motorcycle. They are responsible for adhering to all traffic laws, making sure their vehicle is maintained properly, knowing shortcut routes, monitoring traffic conditions, collecting fares from customers, and providing excellent customer service. Requirements: While there are no formal education requirements necessary to become a taxi driver most states do require that individuals possess a valid drivers license with little to no violations / accidents on their record. There might also be city - specific ordinances mandating other qualifications such as being 21 years of age or older or successfully completing a taxi training program approved by the local government entity.
