Those who are looking for a career in the transportation industry can find plenty of opportunities in Marion County. The county is home to a number of different businesses that offer transportation services, including bus and taxi companies, as well as trucking firms. There are also a number of private individuals who contract out their services to these businesses.

Those interested in becoming a bus or taxi driver will need to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL). Drivers must be at least 21 years old and have a clean driving record. They will also need to pass a background check and drug test. Once they have obtained their CDL, they will be able to apply for positions with local companies.

Truck drivers typically do not need a CDL; however, they must meet certain age and experience requirements set by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Truckers must also pass a physical examination and drug test before being hired by most companies. In addition, many trucking firms require their drivers to complete training courses before hitting the road solo.
