Brief Description of the Organization and Role:

Citi Global Wealth (CGW) is an integration of Citi Private Bank and the Consumer Wealth organization into a single platform enabling Citi to serve its clients across the wealth spectrum and capitalize on Citi’s industry leading capabilities to support the goal of CGW, which is to be the leading wealth management provider globally.

As we embark on this journey, it is imperative to have a strong Risk & Control framework, supporting this goal through an independent but integral Internal Control organization.

This role is part of Citi Global Wealth Chief Administrative Office (CAO) – Risk and Controls supporting the design and delivery of the CGW Manager Control Assessment (“MCA”). The role will combine expertise in operational risk management practices and methods along with project and change management skills to organize and co-ordinate the integration of the existing MCA to align to the new business structure under Citi Global Wealth.

The incumbent will participate in cross functional working groups related to the design and implementation of the end state Target Operating Model for MCA across Citi and support function and enterprise-wide MCA as and when requested by the CGW Head of MCA.

This role will report directly to the CGW Head of MCA. Responsibilities:

Support the design and implementation of the Global CGW MCA Architect in line with the MCA Framework defined for Citi.

Oversee and manage teams dedicated for the CGW MCA enhancements ensuring all key activities are delivered on time and to quality including overseeing Enterprise MCA Profile (EMP).Active participation in relevant forums to support initiatives relating to the MCA Framework providing credible challenge and proactive identification of opportunities for enhancing the MCA Framework.

Partner with relevant Risk and Control leads and business management to ensure an effective MCA is in place for the business and proactively used as a tool to measure and manage risk.

Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions) to deliver MCA risk management capabilities

Support the actions relating for CGW MCA as part of key regulatory commitments including tracking of deliverables and providing status updates for senior management reporting.

Partner with relevant Risk and Control leads and business management to ensure an effective MCA is in place for the business and proactively used as a tool to measure and manage risk.

Focus on continuous improvements across all MCA areas to ensure continued improvement of the MCA framework in an efficient, cost effective, streamlined, and value-add manner.

Assist with Internal Audit or Compliance queries in relation to CGW Global MCA/GRC Program

Host update meetings with stakeholders globally to provide update on CGW MCA Framework.

Responsible for the oversight of the appropriate integration of Operational Losses and Issues into GRC.

Establish partnership and communication with Personal Bank and Wealth Management (PBWM) Risk and Controls and Citi Global Business Risk and Controls to ensure consistency in MCA protocols.

Focus on continuous control improvements across all areas to ensure continued improvement of the control framework in an efficient, cost effective, streamlined, and value-add manner.

Assist with Internal Audit or Compliance queries in relation to CGW Global MCA/GRC Program.

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in working within a risk, control, compliance, legal or audit function.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project planning, tracking, delivery and reporting.

Extensive experience in risk and control, supervision, quality assurance / control and monitoring processes.

Strong leadership skills and demonstrated experience with a proven track record to effectively drive and lead change by working effectively cross-boundaries in a global organization.

Meaningful knowledge of the risk management framework, including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance.

Experience working horizontally across an organization and participating in enterprise-wide implementations of major policy and relevant risk programs.

Broad understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions

Well-developed listening skills and a strong ability to engage at the executive management level by providing proactive support and advice on a variety of risk matters.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, and in particular ability to assess and contribute to the content of key risk and control reporting.

Ability to lead by example, strong influential and interpersonal skills, used to deliver results and push the organization agenda in a complex environment
