HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR TEAM(Overview & Key Responsibilities):
The primary responsibility of a Chemical Specialist is to perform on-site technical service support as it relates to the chemical performance for our customers. In the vehicle wash industry this is done through conducting chemical audits, volumetric analysis, and optimize chemical usage at customer sites.
This role will provide assistance in all regions with:
Delivery, Routing, Training, Start-Ups and Customer Chemical Related Emergencies (Deliveries/Cleaning).
This role will collaborate with all Company adjacencies, internal support team members and peers. Assist day-to-day technical requirements tied to servicing our customers. This role is required to participate in trade shows, Division-related associations, and educational initiatives.
Mentorship will be developed through the Sales Team, service team, and Lab.
Service existing chemical wash accounts, trouble-shoot cleaning issues, perform on-site titrations, perform usage analysis, and document each
Manages time effectively and able to efficiently follow routes and complete assigned tasks
Conduct cleaning efficiency & guest experience evaluations, provide written documentation follow up
Assist in chemical customer satisfaction through regular customer visits on route
Develop efficiencies in organizing daily work schedule
Ability to adjust priorities according to specific customer need and urgency
Assist Operations with delivery and route management
Execute emergency deliveries and chemical related service
Keep a pulse on industry competition:
i.e. emerging technology, new chemistries, marketing trends, and competitive costing.
Provide technical chemical training for customers and inside sales professionals
Develop professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
Attends educational workshops set-forth by Sales and Technical Service Management through our industry partners and suppliers
Active participant in Company functions and events
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
Education Associate degree or equivalent experience
Experience/Training
1-3 years related work experience within chemistry, lab, chemicals or car wash industry
Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with teammates at all levels
General mechanical understanding and interests
Licenses/Certifications Valid driver’s license
Technology/Equipment Requires general computing skills, including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite
Travel Must have the ability to travel overnight as business needs dictate
