Division Description:
The Green Bay Mill Division is a vertically integrated paper mill that manufactures containerboard using 100% recycled furnish.
The operation consists of one paper machine responsible for the production of linerboard and medium paper used to manufacture corrugated boxes. This family-owned mill is located near the mouth of the Fox River in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Responsibilities:
The Process Engineer Co-op will be directly involved in special projects designed to improve process efficiency and productivity. He or she will be working with the Production Superintendents, Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager, and Process Engineers.
The types of projects the co-op can expect to be involved in include:
- Process improvement, cost reduction, and optimization opportunities.
- Chemical trials designed to increase quality and productivity.
- Equipment start-up and optimization.
- Statistical analysis of the finished product properties.
- Involvement with customers regarding special trials or quality issues. Qualifications:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Paper Science or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and statistical software.
- Strong team player who can effectively work with others to meet objectives and timelines. Compensation & Benefits:
In addition to an hourly wage, co-op students will be eligible for a housing stipend and access to an onsite fitness center.
