This role will report up to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer. Working collaboratively with a Nurse Manager of Critical Care, the

Nurse Director of ICU will lead an outstanding unit of nurses. Supported by two

CCRNNursing Supervisors and three Intensive Care Charge Nurses, this

Director takes oversight of a high performing department. With a tenured leadership team mentoring and guiding the people, growth, innovation, and quality of the unit, there will be limitless opportunities for collaboration.

This fast-paced unit, with a 24/7 in-house consultation team and board certified Critical Care Physicians, is able to provide fully comprehensive and collaborative care to the patient populations it serves. The

Nurse Director of ICU will be a main component and advocate on this team. With 500 hospital beds, this 32 bed

ICUneed an exceptional leader. Of the 32 bed critical care unit, approximately 5 beds are dedicated to surgical

ICUand 20 are for intensive care unit patients.

Job responsibilities for the Nurse Director of ICUinclude operational responsibility for the delivery and quality of patient care provided, assists with developing and implementing performance initiatives, ensuring optimal patient safety and customer satisfaction.

In addition, this position guides staff and is responsible for staffing and staffing decisions, budget compliance, coaching and counseling employees on work related performance, and assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
