Allied Universal® is hiring a Hospital Security Operation Center (SOC) Dispatcher. The Hospital Security Operation Center Dispatcher will answer telephones and dispatch hospital security personnel accordingly, observe for signs of crime or disorder, monitor video recording devices (CCTV), and provide information quickly and accurately to the appropriate individuals.

The Dispatcher is also responsible for documenting incidents in detailed reports and assisting with the functions of physical and personal security and safety measures of staff, members, and visitors at the healthcare facility. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process calls received on all designated telephone lines; answering phones; operate IP based telephone system
  • Monitor access control software for building alarms, door alarms, and access badge alarms
  • Accurately record information provided by callers, question them to determine location and nature of the problem and accurately classify as an emergency or non-emergent call once classified also prioritizing them as directed in the standard operating procedures
  • Simultaneously perform various tasks while in reception of multiple audio and visual sources (channels, talk groups, monitors, etc.) while maintain a professional voice tone during all communication
  • Provide accurate and timely security and safety notifications to security leadership team
  • Dispatch and provide direction to security officers using a two-way radio
  • Using search and playback functions, review CCTV and access control software to establish incident timelines QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Covid - 19 Vaccination Required
  • Must be at least 21+ years of age
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess one or more of the following:o A minimum of two (1+) years of experience in a security command/control center, or a related fieldo Associate’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Business Administration combined with a minimum of two (2) years of work experience with direct customer interaction
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
