The Pipelayer - is responsible for installing and maintaining sewer pipes. This includes digging trenches, laying pipes, and connecting them to existing sewer systems. The Pipelayer - must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be able to follow safety procedures.

Salary:

$30.00 to $50.00 per hour

Pipelayer

Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.

Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.

Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue.

Cover pipes with earth or other materials.

Cut pipes to required lengths.

Must be able to stand, bend, twist, kneel & squat for long periods of time

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. frequently on a daily basis

Must have minimum of 2 years’ experience installing underground water and sewer pipe
