JOB SUMMARY

The

Corporate & Dealer Solutions Product Owneris a hands-on role that oversees the development and maintenance of assigned corporate and dealer applications from start to finish to ensure they meet the business’ needs and preferences. Main duties include working with the business to determine the overall vision of new products and product enhancements, managing various backlog items and deciding which features each product will have according to business’ preferences.

This IT Product Owner will:

Develop functional expertise of our largest, custom application suite. This key application is used by our stakeholders to allocate vehicles to dealers and automate the assignment of accessories/parts to sell with those vehicles.

Work with the business and SAP functional leads to identify and understand the functional or business requirements. The Product Owner must analyze and solve complex system problems so that they can improve the organization's overall product development and support process.

Product owners must also ensure the team adheres to document control and process procedures that can significantly reduce process cycle time and cost.

Work with the GST Dev

Ops and AMS (Application Managed Services) technical teams to ensure that the functional designs and configuration align with corporate best practices and documentation compliance and can support the requirements of the business.

Proactively work with the business, AMS and Dev

Ops technical teams to resolve and reduce identified defects and changes required. The Product Owner would also help in the organizational change management around the use of Corporate & Dealer applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develop functional expertise of key custom application suites

Reverse engineer and document key custom applications via process flow diagrams and other tools

Collaborate with business and perspective users to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements

Collaborate and provide excellent customer service to end users by working closely with the business, SAP functional leads, GST Dev

Ops and AMS technical teams

Manage the product backlog and prioritize based on changing requirements

Oversee all stages of product creation including design and development

Develop user stories and acceptance criteria

Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process

Liaise with the product team and end-users to deliver updates

Facilitate Scrum meetings and participating in sprints

Design solutions that integrate well with the various business operations and solutions that are a part of the corporate and dealer solution ecosystem

Provide application support including analysis, testing, tracking, and problem resolution

Research production problems and/or enhancement issues and make appropriate changes to the system. Initiate action and evaluate issues to develop alternative solutions. Apply expert knowledge and experience to resolve problems

Support the Dev

Ops team to define and document solution architecture as part of a new initiative or enhancement

Act as recognized leader within the team and subject matter expert for assigned applications

Manage releases and patches

Organize and assimilate large quantities of complex information

Work under minimal supervision

Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures.

Review and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requires a bachelor’s degree with 7+ plus years of experience in the field or in a related area or possess an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

5 + years of experience in preparing Process and Functional Design documents, along with strong acumen to understand, translate and map business processes

Passion and desire to drive for standardization

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While the job is generally performed in an office environment, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions.

The noise level in the office environment is typically quiet, but the associate may be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 20% of the time and on a domestic basis).
