At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead Java Full Stack Engineer to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for 1.5+ years of professional experience as a Senior Full Stack Application developer with advanced level skills in Java Technologies.

Strong experience developing Web based applications using Core java (java 8+), Spring frameworks and Spring Boot. Demonstrate proficiency with Open-Source Technologies:

JUnit, Log4

J, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Maven. Experience developing applications using Java

Script packages and Angular 2+ framework using Eclipse, Intelli

J, or any variant of Eclipse IDE.

Database programming using SQL and No-SQL (Should have basic understanding)

Demonstrate understanding of how to effectively manage source code with GIT

Proven experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Full stack dev/Backend should have Microservices, Sprint boot app dev experience in private, public cloud setting but can also have some level of expertise on Front-end and scripting tools/techniques.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5+ years of experience in Nodejs based API development
• Exp in Java

Script and Typescript implementations

• Experience in Springboot
• Experience with Express.js, Nest JS or other frameworks.
• Good understanding of API development REST/Graph

QL (Graph

QL is a strong plus)

• Some experience with relational/No

SQL databases

• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and components like EC2, Lambda, Step function etc.
• Solid understanding and extensive experience with version control tools like Git, SVN or Mercurial
• Strong proficiency in Java

Script, including DOM manipulation and the Java

Script object model

• Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Exceptional problem solving and ability to work independently

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[66,980 – 102,600] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
