About the Role:

The Procurement Manager will oversee and direct the activities relating to the purchase and procurement of materials and equipment used on substation, transmission, solar, and battery storage projects.

Essential Functions

Manage vendor (distributor and manufacturer) relationships and expectations involved with procuring materials, equipment, and services related to the supply of equipment.

Maintain primary and secondary vendor supply options.

Assess distributors' capabilities.

Negotiate volume discounting and leverage our overall buying power.

Negotiate project-specific and framework agreements with commodity and engineered material.

Follow current market conditions and evaluate future market trending.

Interact with various internal departments to improve our current procurement practices and coordinate and manage excellent service for internal customers.

Work with the Operations team to ensure suppliers are delivering according to the contract.

Mediate conflicts between project teams and vendors on performance issues.

Work with the team in the pursuit of work with the development of project-specific procurement plans and supporting information for proposals.

Collaborate with estimating to keep bids current, accurate, and competitive.

Create purchase orders in the company ERP system; verify, prepare, and forward purchase orders.

Complete or arrange for source inspection of critical material.

Other duties as assigned.

Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office location.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or Construction Management.7 to 10 years of comparable experience minimum.

Must have prior experience in a management position.

Experience in managing multiple relationships.

Experience with various types of contracts (blanket orders, minimums, annual agreements, ship, debit, etc.)Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Proven ability to carry out financial analyses, evaluations, and recommendations.

Ability to mentor, invest and train those around you and develop team members through ongoing training.

Ability to manage time efficiently and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Ensure that the company's best interests are represented including profitability and cost control. What We Offer:

Compensation & Benefits

Salary commensurate with experience with weekly pay.

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Two days per week remote work optionfor non-field roles depending on position and performance.
