Summary Description:

The Director of Supply Chain, Materials Management (or Sr. Mgr, depending on exp.) will provide leadership and oversee the North America Materials Management department while maintaining an effective and efficient supply chain. Materials Management is responsible for the distribution of packaging and ingredients to a network of manufacturing facilities and acts as the liaison between Refresco and suppliers.

Key Accountabilities:

This position currently has three direct reports and manages a total team of 12 materials managers and analysts.

Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and processes that support inventory management, forecasting, replenishment, and supplier performance.

Elevate team’s utilization of technology and eliminate all non-value added inefficient system work arounds.

Manage KPI scorecard that monitors inventory levels, service levels and financials.

Provide monthly financial updates to Senior Management.

Collaborate with suppliers on processes and procedures, service performance, financial performance, production schedules, inventory levels, and inventory visibility.

Maintain appropriate levels of inventory at each manufacturing facility and ensure production schedules are met and waste is minimized.

Manage the product life cycle of materials to support, but not limited to, new product introductions, label redesigns, formulation changes, and SKU rationalization.

Maintain a mentoring process with team in order to develop skill sets required in their current roles and development for future roles.

Utilize innovative skills to ideate and develop material planning methods and cost reduction strategies.

Support new product development and introductions, new supplier onboarding, and sustainable sourcing initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline.

5 years of direct experience in a manufacturing business or supply chain.

Demonstrated success in management of centralized team structure with 20+ production locations with some field based personnel.

ASCM or CSCMP certification desired.

Skills/Qualifications:

Materials management professional with an in-depth knowledge of supply chain management and execution.

Strong preference for proven leader in the food and beverage or CPG industry.

Strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to lead and develop teams, and quickly drive change.

High level of system proficiency and proven process discipline.

Demonstrated process improvement skills.

Technical expertise using SAP for materials planning is a must, including knowledge of multiple MRP types and material settings. Power BI is a plus.

Demonstrated success training teams, systematizing work flows, and elevating the utilization of ERP systems for materials planning.

Able to understand and think strategically and implement long term plans; can handle both long term and short term goals simultaneously.

Ability to work in a matrix organization and bring sales, manufacturing, finance, supply chain, procurement, logistics, and customer service together to execute business strategies.

Excellent communicator and strong team player who is able to work across multiple functions.

Excellent knowledge of SAP MRP system, Excel, Power

Point.

Ability to analyze data and solve problems, results oriented.

Ability to work under pressure with limited guidance but with the business acumen to drive the correct decisions based upon company values.

Organized and detail oriented, adaptable to change.

Relates well to people, resolves conflicts, understands and meets needs of business partners.

Consistently delivers results and demonstrates personal initiative and independent motivation to achieve goals and objectives.
