Competitive pay Job Description The Assistant Operations Manager contributes to Mattress Firm's success by assisting in the efficient day-to-day operations of multiple functions within their assigned distribution center and ensures the Distribution Center (DC) provides world class service to internal and external customers.

Supervises members of the distribution center team

Contributes to meeting organizational financial objectives

Ensures the team follows standardized operational processes in accordance with safety policies and procedures

Assists in onboarding new team members in some cases

Creates and fosters an environment of trust, open two-way communication, and cohesive team effort

Ensures alignment with strategic vision and communicates organizational mission and values to the team

Holds one-on-one meetings with direct reports at least twice a month

Identifies opportunities and drives continuous improvement initiatives in the DCFacilitates resolution of customer service issues

Conducts required physical cycle counts; reviews discrepancies and makes appropriate corrections

Ensures use of proper safety equipment and maintains a safe working environment by ensuring that all safety policies and procedures are adhered to

Up to $50,000 per year
