8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Paralegal – KC law firm seeking Litigation Paralegal to provide support for Litigation Partners. This individual will be responsible to ensure accurate and timely production of legal documents; file correspondence and pleadings with courts, perform legal research; prepare and submit time records.

Responsibilities

Prepare legal documents and correspondence

Submit manual and electronic court documents

Enter daily attorney timekeeping

Scan and maintain client documents, both manual and electronic

Perform legal research

Maintain attorney calendars

Docket court deadlines

Prepare new client/matter conflict checks

Answer phones and provide reception relief

Coordinate travel arrangements and meeting preparation

Type/transcribe legal documents

Abilities and Expectations

Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment

Strong attention to details

Possess strong work ethic with high level of discretion

Regular and punctual attendance is essential

Team player with ability to work occasional overtime

Education and Skill Requirements

2+ years law firm experience, some litigation

Experience with e-filing systems

Bachelor’s Degree, preferred

Computer skills:

MS Office and Outlook, required; Tabs Timekeeping, Net

Docs and Kofax PDF preferred; 65 wpm typing speed
