Job Summary:

The Engineer – Compliance will provide quality assurance support to UGI business units by performing internal audits for compliance to regulations and standards. This position will also be responsible for researching, interpreting, and enforcing relevant regulations and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform internal audits of company procedures and safety processes using regulatory or industry standard guidelines. Determine and document deficiencies found and track the resolution of the deficiencies.

Perform record reviews to determine compliance with applicable codes and standards. Develop strategies for improving quality of records. This includes both construction records and operations records.

Serve as a liaison between UGI and Regulatory Agencies for company assets, including Pipelines, Liquid Natural Gas Plants, and Processing Facilities. This includes drafting and submitting required reports, responding to inquiries, and organizing inspections with the appropriate UGI personnel.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory and industry standards, particularly CFR Title 49 Parts 191, 192, 193, 195, & 199, OSHA Process Safety Management, EPA Risk Management Program, ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and NFPA 58, 59, and 59

A.

Excellent technical writing skills.

Experience conducting internal audits.

Experience interacting with external regulatory agencies.

Strong communication skills and the ability to professionally represent the Company in regulatory inspections.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline preferred.

Experience with Process Safety Management preferred.

DOT Regulation experience preferred.
