(Not all Inclusive)The Centralized Badging Center (CBC) located at the Global Technical Center in Warren has a challenging yetrewarding opening for the position of Security ID Badging Clerk. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for producing photo ID Badges and issuing Parking Tags in accordance with GM Global and AUSSecurity standards.
  • Assist with the GM Global Audit process as directed by the ID Coordinator and/or CBC Supervisor.
  • Participate in special projects as needed by Tech Support and Security Operations.
  • Maintain databases and retain required file records in accordance with GM/AUS standards.
  • Destroy old/outdated ID badges and deactivate all returned terminated, retiree or found ID badges.
  • Assists in training of back-up personnel as required with affirmative action commitments.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Responsible for inspecting and reporting to the ID Coordinator and/or CBC Supervisor of necessary repairneeds of all CBC equipment.
  • Ensure the appropriate information is communicated to the ID Coordinator and/or CBC Supervisor regardingtechnical problems for corrective action.
  • Ability to analyze and develop innovative recommendations and solutions.
  • Ability to act in decisive manner in emergency situations.
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Ability to interact effectively with the Customer, ID Coordinator, CBC Supervisor and co-workers.
  • Must be an effective team member to achieve the goals which are set forth by the department.
  • Strong customer skills and the ability to multi-task for any unique situations.
  • Exceptional people skills and strong desire to succeed.
  • Performs duties in an honest, ethical, and professional manner MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have High school diploma or G.E.D.

  • 1 year of progressively responsible related security experience.
  • General understanding of Security Operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and utilize sound judgment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Must possess strong typing skills.
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.

- Strong knowledge of PC’s and Microsoft programs. SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Ability to analyze and develop innovative recommendations and solutions.

  • Possess planning and project management skills.
  • Have strong verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Possess strong customer, quality, and orientation skills.
  • Must have an excellent attendance record and an overall good record with no evidence of disciplinary actions.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
