How you will spend your days as a Rebar

Laborer:

Pull materials from racks, units or other storage areas to prepare for pick up or shipping

Organize material in a manner to best ensure it arrives safe and undamaged

Band material to assure safe handling (forklift) and delivery

Maintain good working relationship with customers, fellow employees and management

Maintain the appearance of the yard and racks in an orderly and clean manner focusing on his area

Figuring out the quantity, size, and shapes of reinforcing rods and determining where to place them

Preparing rebar and mesh for installation using metal shears, hacksaws, and torches

Bending or welding rebar together

Installing cables

Using pliers to tie wire around rods to fasten them together.

Positioning and securing rods, cables, mesh, or rebar in concrete forms

Requirements of the role:

Experience with rebar preferred.

Ability to learn to operate equipment.

Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.
