The Sr. Technical Analyst provides business consulting and technical analysis for applications for the enterprise. This individual works with colleagues, business groups and technical teams to identify the ongoing needs of the enterprise for collaboration within the Application toolset, for example, Microsoft tools.
The analyst facilitates the adoption of functionality and applications using expertise to design, develop and deliver training in multiple settings. Provides open office hours/drop-in sessions, one on one training, creation of basic to advanced training materials and maintains/updates existing documentation.
The analyst must anticipate business needs, be strategic and forward thinking while mastering new features and applications to enhance their skills set to best serve the enterprise. The analyst is responsible for providing learning options and guidance to the business on the application with a strong focus on Microsoft Teams.
This individual will collect, analyze, and document business needs and provide system and application recommendations as they relate to the assigned technology.
The Sr. Technical Analyst performs analysis with minimum supervision, working within existing frameworks with the business and technical team to develop and propose projects that leverage the technology offerings to improve collaboration across the business, including external business partners where applicable.
Collaborates with the business and technical teams to plan and carry out tasks, resolve conflicts and coordinate work with others. The Sr Technical Analyst keeps the manager informed of the business needs as they relate to applications/technology and provides updates on projects and task progress.
Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing
Designs and develops opportunities for business colleagues to build their collaboration skills; being open minded to the requests from the business for what they need to be more efficient in their processes
Assesses, analyzes, and recommends applications for enhanced business collaboration and efficiency
Stay ahead of changes from Microsoft and the industry and incorporate this into a well-defined collaboration strategy toolset for the enterprise.
Develops best practices for use of everchanging tools
Provides expert knowledge of application offerings licensed within Microsoft Teams to the business
Provides expert knowledge of O365 applications in consultation with business, in leveraging and optimizing uses of the application

Qualifications – what you need to perform the job
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent field preferred
Microsoft application training and certification is highly valued
EXPERIENCE (minimum years required):Minimum 5-7 years technical experience supporting Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated proficiency with Office 365 (Teams, One
Drive for Business, Share
Point Online, Tasks by Planner, Power Automate, Forms etc.) and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel Power
Point, and One
Note)Experience in curriculum design and training in a corporate environment
Prior classroom training experience including the design and delivery of curriculum that is up to date to enhance the skills and knowledge of the organization
Minimum of 5 years working with varied business departments and individuals on office collaboration
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft applications and support
Demonstrate expertise in managing customer expectations at all levels of the enterprise
Able to act with well-developed interpersonal skills in the capacity of liaison by maintaining and supporting customer relationships, acting as a customer advocate within the IT organization and handling pressure calmly and proactively in difficult situations
Demonstrate advanced negotiation and influencing skills
Exemplary customer support skills
Ability to work with all types of people and business situations
Ability to identify issues, provide technical support and escalate to resolve
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Must be flexible, a proponent of, and quickly assimilate change
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.
