Mold Setter

As a Mold Setter at ALPLA in West Bend, WI, your main responsibility is to assist and support the person responsible for Mold Changes in ensuring the safe and efficient changing of machines, components, molds, and accessories while utilizing prior production data.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining production quality and efficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL ENJOY DOING:

Supporting Mold Changes:

Collaborate with the Mold Change team to facilitate smooth and efficient mold changes.

Replace heads and molds in Blow Molding equipment as needed.

Timely Mold Changes:

Ensure that Mold Changes are completed within defined timeframes, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Quality Assurance:

Assist in the start-up and process of molds that have been used for established products to meet QA approval, maintaining product quality standards.

Effective Communication:

Maintain clear and continuous communication with team members and supervisors to ensure the seamless flow of information.

Teamwork:

Work collaboratively within a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive and productive atmosphere.

Efficiency Enhancement:

Strive to ensure that the team works together as efficiently as possible, identifying and implementing process improvements when necessary.

Housekeeping and Safety:

Maintain good housekeeping within the department, ensuring a clean and safe working environment for all team members.

Flexibility:

Be prepared to take on additional duties as assigned, as the position may require flexibility to adapt to changing production needs.

What Makes You Great

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Good knowledge of Blow Molding process preferred

Qualifications/Skills:

Previous experience in mold setting or related manufacturing roles is preferred.

Mechanical aptitude and a strong understanding of manufacturing equipment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
