Plant Engineer

The Plant Engineer is responsible for directing the support efforts of Facility Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Technicians and Team Engineers, if applicable, ensuring the structural integrity and preventative maintenance of the facility equipment, building and plant grounds.

Responsibilities:

Responsibility and authority as outlined in the Quality Manual, Operational Procedures, and all Instruction Manuals.

Member of the Plant’s Steering Team and Safety Committee.

Ensures training of and compliance to safety policies and procedures by utilized contractors

Secures and Oversees outside vendors on plant projects and ensures timely completion of tasks.

Ensures Support Group personnel are properly trained for assigned tasks.

Directs and/or participates in set-up of new lines and new equipment.

Oversees and maintains records on various plant projects, i.e., facilities improvements.

Develops effective process controls.

Evaluates and reports on current process controls.

Maintains documentation for various plant

Initiates action for food safety issues.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree or comparable experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills as demonstrated in the context of the interview process and/or references.

Strong written communication skills as demonstrated by testing, transcripts or other designated methods.

Detail oriented as demonstrated during the interview process and/or through references.

Computer skills as verified by testing or transcript.

Ability to facilitate progress on multiple projects at once.

Hands-on experience in industrial safety operations.
