A Day in the Life:
The Fleet Accounts Payable Supervisor manages day-to-day activities of local Fleet Accounts Payable staff, monitors team member performance, provides guidance, training and coaching opportunities, co-ordinates timely execution and resolution of escalations while maintaining excellent customer service levels and ensuring compliance with Hertz Policies/Procedures and operational/SOX controls.
The supervisor monitors daily performance of any business partners to ensure efficient vehicle invoices and payments flow into the General Ledger and accurate payment disbursements. They lead small project assignments and act as SME in medium/large organizational initiatives, while acting as change agent for the area.
They are also expected to have flexibly on temporary assignments related to the Payables business for regions other than their local one.
What You’ll Do:
Directly supervises all Fleet Accounts Payable staff to provide a fully operational and efficient Fleet Accounts Payable service to internal / external customers.
Manages transactional backlogs and drives / assists / supports any remediation efforts.
Oversees management of priority supplier management.
Responsible for regular reviews and updates of Desktop Procedures for Fleet Accounts Payable processes.
Oversees identification/determination of process, system, and knowledge improvement opportunities.
Coordinates planning, execution, and completion of improvement projects within the area.
Acts as SME representing the PTP/Accounts Payables areas as part of larger organizational initiatives.
Supports Fleet Accounts Payable supervisors in other regions if required.
Ensures compliance with Accounts Payables / P2
P Policies and Procedures as well as SOX controls.
Reports and investigates critical issues and provides solutions / corrective actions in a timely manner.
Develops direct reports through training / coaching, Performance Management, goal setting and active feedback.
Monitors staff turnover and attendance to ensure company guidelines and HR policies are adhered to.
Ensures proper staffing levels are maintained and follows recruitment process when required.
Stands in as delegate in absence of the Fleet Accounts Payable Manager for pre-defined responsibilities.
Executes/oversees other PTP/Accounts Payable related ad hoc projects/tasks/initiatives as require by Hertz Management.
What We’re Looking For:
2+ years Accounts Payable experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associates or higher education preferred
Advanced knowledge of Hertz Accounts Payable processes/ procedures
Oracle / ERP system knowledge required
Experience in other Hertz Business areas preferable
Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge
Excellent Communication skills
Solid Analytical & Problem-solving skills
Strong sense for Customer needs and customer service
Ability to prioritize conflicting task for teams and self
Ability to concurrently manage ongoing tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers
Ability to identify system, process and training opportunities, and respective implementation
Adaptability to continuous change and ability to lead team effectively through change process
