The Stroke Coordinator RN will work for a 300+ bed acute care hospital located in New York. This acute care hospital continues to expand daily, bringing on new leaders who are excited to spearhead new initiatives, and ultimately grow with the hospital. With new cutting edge medical technology and services offered, this facility is able to accommodate a wide array of specialized services throughout the community; including their Designated Stroke Center and Level II Trauma Center.

Stroke from the American Stroke Association with Stroke Gold Plus and Target. This acute care hospital offers neurologists on call 24/7, is equipped with an organized stroke alert system, and provides ongoing EMS training to local medical services and collaborations.

The Stroke Program Coordinator RN is responsible for coordinating and implementing activities related to the stroke program. The Stroke Program Coordinator will roll out new program initiatives, ensure compliance, prepare for upcoming accreditation and surveys, lead various stroke-focused programs and committees, cross collaborate with internal and external partners and vendors, and ultimately, insure exceptional patient care is constantly being provided.

The Stroke Program Coordinator must be a Registered Nurse or Advanced Nurse Practitioner with a clinical Stroke background. The Stroke Program Coordinator RN should be organized, able to effectively communicate findings, act as a department resource, and be up to date on best practices, policies and procedures related to stroke programs.
