About the Role:
We are hiring for a new position for our company. As the Training & Development Manager, you build a program to grow and develop our employees for MYR Energy Services, a subsidiary of MYR Group, and in conjunction within the organizational standards. You will facilitate and develop impactful training content (virtual and in-person), training sessions to support company processes, change management, leadership development, business skills, and technical skills of our employees.
A successful candidate should have strong training content development skills, ability to manage an extensive training program, and is expected to have excellent facilitation and communication skills in working with diverse audiences.
This position can be located out of our Minnetonka, Minnesota, Richmond, Virginia, or Grand Rapids, Michigan office. We offer a hybrid schedule with 2 days of work from home and 3 days in the office per week. This position will include around 25% travel to visit other offices or project sites.

Essential Functions
Coordinate the development of web-based training (WBT) and instructor-led training (ILT) content, collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts from all areas in the business
Develop training content, tools, and courses aligned to identified objectives and organizational goals
Define course structure, content, and delivery method to produce high quality training
Regularly solicit feedback from peers, staff, managers, and the corporate OL&D team; and leverage to enhance personal performance and the trainings developed and delivered
Evaluate training opportunities based on technology, company-specific, behavioral change, efficiencies and/or other business need
Observe and report employee progress and program effectiveness
Collaborate with business leaders to conduct training needs assessments and coordinate with corporate OL&D (Organizational Learning & Development) team on recommendations for training content or programs
Assist in the development of best practices, workflow assessments, or other projects related to information identified during training gap analysis
Collaborate with corporate TA team, Compensation Specialist and OL&D team in the evaluation of job competencies and establishing development goals
Collaborate with the corporate OL&D team in the development and identification of training related tools, content, and resources (Share
Point, Microsoft 365, Adobe, video, podcast, or other digital/visual/audio medium) to support the Organizational Learning and Development initiatives
Facilitate a variety of programs including but not limited to job-specific processes, technology, business/soft skills, and company-specific; virtual LMS created content, virtual instructor-led, and in- person instructor-led training
Ensure consistency and organizational training standards for the group while maintaining alignment with company and enterprise level initiatives
Identify opportunities for group team members as identified by leadership
Coordinate on-site training sessions with group subject matter experts
Track assigned training for all team members
Participate in training and self-development to continuously enhance instructional delivery and presentation skills
Regular and predictable attendance
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in a training-related, facilitator or content development role is required
Experience in engineering, manufacturing or construction industry is preferred
Bachelor's degree in liberal arts or technical degree preferred; combination of relevant experience and education considered in lieu of degree
Must be capable of up to 25% travel (e.g., 1 week or 5 days/month), by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Solid experience using a LMS, e
Learning content platforms, or creative content creation tools such as Articulate or Storyline
Hands on experience developing and delivering training content, guides, multimedia training materials
Passion for learning, training, and developing others
Proven ability to learn complex concepts quickly and communicate those concepts in an easy-to-understand manner as well as champion change
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to independently manage projects
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent facilitation skills
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
Experience in management of content, learners and other facets of a learning management system (LMS) is preferred
Proven ability to effectively communicate with management and all levels within the company
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is required. What We Offer:
Compensation & Benefits
Salary $75000-$90000 / year
Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
Two days per week remote work optionfor non-field roles depending on position and performance.
