Research Study Management Operations Lead

Description The Leidos Health group has an opening for a Research Study Management Operations Lead to support a National Institutes of Health (NIH) customer conducting one of the largest longitudinal studies to date. This is an exciting opportunity to use your training experience helping the NIH mission.

Contingent upon contract award.

The Research Study Management Operations Lead (SMOL) plays a critical role in overseeing the operational aspects of enterprise systems for program operations, study management, and participant support. By ensuring the configuration, compliance, quality, enhancement, maintenance, and staff training on these systems, the SMOL contributes to the success of research studies, program effectiveness, and participant satisfaction.

This role requires strong technical, communication, and organizational skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of research study operations and enterprise systems.

Primary Responsibilities

Operational Oversight:

Manage the day-to-day operations of enterprise systems used for program operations, study management, and participant support.

Configuration and Compliance:

Ensure that enterprise systems are properly configured and compliant with relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines.

Quality Assurance:

Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and usability of enterprise systems, including data integrity and security.

Enhancement and Maintenance:

Identify opportunities for system improvements and enhancements; and oversee the implementation of necessary updates and maintenance tasks.

Collaboration:

Work closely with teams to align operational requirements and address any issues or challenges related to enterprise systems.

System Configuration and Integration:

Collaborate with IT teams to configure and integrate enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.

User Support:

Provide ongoing support to staff members regarding the use of enterprise systems, troubleshooting issues, and resolving user inquiries or concerns.

Data Management:

Oversee data management processes within enterprise systems, including data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain documentation related to enterprise systems, including standard operating procedures, system configurations, and user manuals. Generate reports on system usage, performance, and user satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and propose innovative solutions to enhance program operations, study management, and participant support.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration) and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.

Proven experience in research study operations management.

Strong understanding of enterprise systems used in program operations, study management, and participant support.

Knowledge of compliance requirements and regulations related to data management, privacy, and security.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.

Experience in training and supporting staff members on enterprise systems is preferred.

Familiarity with research study protocols and processes

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting NIH-funded research.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00
