The first step to finding a job in healthcare is deciding what type of position you are interested in. There are many different types of positions available, from working directly with patients to behind-the-scenes office work. Once you have decided on a general area you are interested in, you can start researching specific jobs within that field.

If you enjoy working with people and want a job that is both challenging and rewarding, consider becoming a registered nurse (RN). RNs provide direct patient care and play an important role in educating patients and their families about their health conditions. To become an RN, you must complete an accredited nursing program and pass the national licensure exam.

If you prefer working behind the scenes, there are many administrative positions available in healthcare facilities. These positions may include working as a medical biller or coding specialist, managing patient records, or coordinating care between different departments within a healthcare facility. Many of these positions require at least some college coursework; however, some entry-level administrative positions may be open to those with high school diplomas or equivalent degrees.
