Bus Driver: A bus driver is responsible for transporting passengers safely to their destination. They must follow a set route and schedule. In some cases, they may also be required to help load and unload luggage. To become a bus driver in Anoka County you must have a valid commercial drivers license with passenger endorsement and complete a training program approved by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS).

Taxi Driver: Taxi drivers are responsible for picking up fares and taking them to their requested destination safely and efficiently. Most taxi companies will require you to have a clean driving record as well as pass a background check before hiring you. You will also need to obtain a chauffeur's license from the DPS which requires completing an application form along with paying the associated fee ($115 as of 2019). Lastly, most taxi companies will make you complete their own specific training program prior to working for them full time

Uber/Lyft Driver: As an Uber or Lyft driver your main responsibility is giving people safe rides from one location to another using your personal vehicle. Depending on what city or state you drive in there may be other small tasks that are required such as helping with baggage or getting gas for the car if it's running low but generally speaking giving people rides is all that is expected. Being an Uber or Lyft doesn't require any type of special certification however each company does have its own screening process that potential drivers must go through which includes providing information about yourself, your vehicle, submitting documents, having your picture taken, etc.

Delivery Driver: There are two types of deliveries that can be made – food deliveries either via car OR bike and package/mail deliveries which are done exclusively by car. Food delivery drivers pick up orders from restaurants then deliver them directly to customers while package/mail carriers retrieve packages/letters from post offices before delivering them directly to residences or businesses. The only requirement for becoming either type of delivery driver is having access to reliable transportation although some companies may prefer applicants who own their own vehicles.
